A Brand New Year!!

Time just goes by so fast these days that I can hardly keep up.Lots of things going on in Nanny's household.
We had a lovely wedding shower for our future daughter-in-law in August. Thanks to my sister-in-law and her amazing entertaining talents, it was very elegant. My niece hosted it at her home. They received many lovely gifts and a good time was had by all.
I made a trip to upstate NY in September to assist my daughter. She is pregnant with grandchild # 3 and was feeling poorly. I did some cooking for her and tried to let her get some rest. She has a 5 year old and a 2 year old. I adore them and they are wonderful children but it takes a lot of energy to get through each day. We had a good time. I got to go to my grandson's school and participate in the morning prayer as well as be there when he got out of school.
I turned 51 in September and hubby turned 67 in October. Wedding plans were in full swing and invites went out in late Oct./ early November.
Daughter and her family arrived on Dec. 1st and we all had a wonderful time being together for 12 days. The wedding was gorgeous on Dec. 11th. Lots of old friends and family were in attendance.
Christmas arrived in one fell swoop~ I knew it would be quiet since the wedding festivities were over. I cooked a traditional Christmas dinner which was attended by my sister-in-law, her husband and the newlyweds.
It's now time to march on to spring~ grandchild # 3 (it's a boy) should arrive around late April/ early May. I'll be there to assist in whatever way I can.
Hubby has been able to get some fishing in which has helped us economically. Another year of blessings ahead.
